Paper model Turret from the game Portal. I built this model in about a week. I love it, I consider it to be one of the coolest models I have ever built.
The prints are downloadable PDF files made by billybob884. I give him most of the credit for creating the model. I just put it together. Special thanks to billybob884 for the model.
How I did? I basically took the pieces and cut them out. I then next glued each one to an index card, to make it stronger and not so delicate. I also used regular Elmer's glue for better results and so each piece stays on nice and firm. After letting them sit and dry, I cut them out and just put it together. I also added more glue on the inside to where the pieces go together so if something happens, there'll be less damage. Just to let you know I used a regular paint brush to apply the glue (I don't use big globs straight from the bottle).
As you can see I added a couple of little details to it. I added the antennas on the top of it, the three wires connected to each leg that go underneath the turret, and put a black dot in the middle of the turrets eye. The antennas and the curved wires underneath are just basic twist ties.
So thats it. My next project will be another paper model by billybob884 and it is of GLaDOS. Can't wait.
